US - China Film Summit

Following the success of the Entertainment & Media in Asia (EMASIA) Initiative with the first U.S.-China Film Summit Conference in November 2010, the Asia Society Southern California Center held its second U.S.-China Film Summit on November 1, 2011.  The half-day, two panel conference on U.S.-China film collaborations featured blockbuster Hollywood producers, filmmakers, and executives including Tom DeSanto (producer of “Transformers” and “X-Men”), David Linde (CEO of Lava Bear Films), Janet Yang (President of Janet Yang Productions and producer of “The Joy Luck Club” and “Dark Matter”); and top executives and creators from China including Dayyan Eng (director and producer of “Inseparable”) and Ivy Zhong (Co-Chairman, Galloping Horse Media Group & President, Galloping Horse Film Co.,Ltd.).  The conference topics included financing, co-production, marketing and distribution.
